Exquisite feline art by Karen Cannon

I've been a professional illustrator for over 25 years. Animals are my favorite subject to paint. Some of my commercial accounts have included: American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), Hills Pet Food, the Morris Animal Foundation (with Betty White, featured on the Oprah Show), and a major greeting card publisher.

Being able to meld the personality of a pet -- along with it's likeness -- into a piece of art is a joy to me.

For the past year, I've been traveling the cat show circuit and really getting to know the different breeds. Customers appreciate my accuracy in their breed's portrayal.

By no means are my subjects always pedigreed stock! Each kitty is precious to their household, and worthy of art. Many folks have commissioned me to create a memorial to their deceased pets, especially the 3D mixed media sculptures. Its a great way to have the personality and likeness of the pet remembered in their home.

By the way... the word's out ... I paint dogs and horses, too!    Karen
