Perhaps the explorers shown on the previous page have included this exotic creature in their quest. The elusive African Queen is shown in her compound, surrounded by jewels and treasures. Details abound in this complex sculpture.
The figure is cut from Baltic plywood, handpainted with oil.
Adornments include a wooden treasure chest, bamboo screen, and preserved vegetation. Jewels, hand strung beads, and handcrafted clothing details the main figure. The zebra rug is entirely hand-created (I spent ridiculous amounts of time on the rug alone!) Sculpture measures approximately 5" in each direction. Signed by the artist.
